♯new ♯2020checklist ♯indierock ♯alternative ♯folk ♯lofi 'Good Luck Everybody' a sneering, pessimistic soundtrack to a range of issues to despair-- all undercut by sing-songy indie pop -falesetto & lullaby instrumentals. Their album cover attempts to tie this LP to an actual work of art, Neil Young's 'On The Beach' (1974) -- a failed comparison as Neil Young's pessimism was genuine, while AJJ prioritizes snark over making a point. I mean, I like AJJ (usually) and I despise the Trump administration-- and yet I still found this album tiresome & annoying.
