This is one of Dom’s best moments, you can really feel the emotion. No Halo has already become one of my favorite songs of theirs. Unfortunately besides that and a few other lesser standouts I’m pretty underwhelmed. I don’t dislike the album, I like the different more introspective and serious approach, I think there are a lot of cool production choices. However, half of the time I don’t feel like I’m even listening to a Brockhampton album, I don’t get the magic I got from the Saturation trilogy or Iridescence. I absolutely support them in becoming more serious in tone if that is the route they’ve decided on, I also have confidence that they can deliver a project that reaches the highs they’ve previously achieved in that style, but Ginger isn’t it for me sadly.
